Interstate 35 Telephone Company began in September of
1965 as an Independent Telephone Company serving local
telephone service to the communities of Truro and St. Charles,
and they added the town of St. Marys six years later, in
1971. In 1978, the telephone communities of Emerson, Henderson,
and Imogene, in southwestern Iowa were purchased and Southwest
Telephone Exchange was formed. Recently the company underwent
a name change to now be known as Interstate Communications.
As Interstate Communications has evolved, we now offer
telephone services, cable television, dial up and high
speed internet, telephone systems for businesses, satellite
internet and tv services, and cellular services, just to
name a few.
